from senate republicans on the issue of raising taxes. lindsey graham, saxby chambless talking about a tax revenue. medicare, medicaid, perhaps we could have some meaningful entitlement reform. that's the good news, that there seems to be this idea that we can work out a big partisan deal. we both know taxes going up. entitlement, benefits going down. however, when we get into the bad news is that while this is all fine and dandy coming out of the cincinnati, toure. the real negotiations are going to happen between president obama and house speaker john boehner. it's a lot different animal than the senate gop conference. so that's the sort of bad news. while we hear a lot of this going forward and it seems to be pos tish, when you get down to the nitty-gritty and aides and those chose to president obama, there's not been a lot of movement on the taxive of what to do. republicans don't want to touch that. democrats want that. they feel they have a mandate from the election. that is the issue we said is going to be the linchpin for the last three months. it continues to be there.

. saxby chambliss, marco rubio, lindsey graham. patty murray. a leader of the party's left wing. she's saying, basically, look, the cliff to me for politics and substance is not the worst deal in the world. it's a terrible deal if we can't get those tax hikes. again, if we can't win this fight now and change that discussion, let's go over the cliff. i'm kind of watching her to see what she says. because it kind of tells you how the president and his team are communicating with the democrats and what the negotiating room is going to be on entitlements. >> nick, thanks so much for that insight. >> thank you guys. >>> next, mitt at the white house? don't be alarmed. he's just having lunch with the president. too bad the president already ate his lunch. >> oh! >> how we think that conversation went as "the cycle" rolls on for thursday, november 29th. we're at walmart with the simmons family. how much is your current phone bill? four sixteen seventy six a month! okay, come with me -- we're gonna save you money. with straight talk at walmart, you get unlimited talk, text and data for only $4

smooth it over with senators mccain, ayotte and graham who criticized her original comments on the deadly benghazi attacks. i picture the conversation between the president and rice going like this. we want you as secretary of state, so go make nice. answer their questions so they stop attacking you and threatening to block your possible nomination. yeah, so how did that work out? >> we are significantly troubled by many of the answers that we got and some that we didn't get. it is clear that the information that she gave the american public was incorrect. >> bottom line, i'm more disturbed now than i was before with a little bit of inquiry and curiosity, i think it would be pretty clear that to explain this episode as related to a video that created a mob that turned into a riot was far afield. if you can do nothing but give bad information, isn't it better to give no information at all? >> i'm more troubled today. just to be clear, when you have a position where you're ambassador to the united nations, you go well beyond unclassified talking points in your daily preparation and r
